I agree with taichizen's statement. The reason for the present situation: The entire media sector is scared, because of the fast advance of the Internet. Journalists are afraid that they will lose their jobs and their livelyhood, and, indeed, many will. This is why the reporting is becoming very sensationalistic and shrill. The Obama-Clinton issue after the Iowa "Hawkeye Caukeye" was an excellent example. I hope that serious, truth-loving journalists will come to places like big think, in order to continue to engage in serious reporting and conversations.
