True, America is disliked for both rational and irrational reasons (particularly irrational ones, such as hatred and envy). But some politicians will be better than others at managing appearances, i.e., making America likeable and getting its reasons for acting across to the multitudes who MIGHT be on the fence regarding these actions. (I.e., Clinton could do what W. did, and he'd still be better regarded. Not amongst the hate-filled, though.)
