We stand at a fork in the road: maintaining our (reluctant?) empire is tempting; refocusing our energies on the American project is the right choice. Neither a neo-isolationism nor a new New Deal, we can make the well-being of America, its infrastructure, its social relations (including education and the elimination of poverty), its health (from food production to the medical system) and rededication to its ideals, especially in international relations our focus and priority.
