Does it really matter if we even had a 'better' economic system?
Or a 'better' health-care system?

Even if we only had to work 3-days a week, would most people spend their leisure time more effectively?

Even if we had 'better' medicine, would more people exercise daily?

I could argue that the hardest environments form the strongest people. Being forced into 'slavery' would probably cause you to become stronger, healthier, smarter and happier in the end. Or maybe not?

So.... Politics - Does it really matter who wins? Or is it more important to focus on your own training, discipline and learning regardless of how 'easy' your environment is?
