The New York Times Ideas Blog today highlights an Economist article about divorce, globalization style. "There’s a global meltdown in cross-border marriages along with economies, says the Economist.

"Globalization has made binational marriages, once exotic, much more common among high-earning, highly mobile families.” That's when things get tricky: assets can be in a third country, for eample, pensions in a fourth, kids somehwere else entirely. Luckily, the article points out, that international lawyers are there to come to the rescue!
