I read an article in the journal "Science" recently about flexible batteries. Seems to me that there is a good possibility of having these in the next decade. Flexible batteries along with flexible PLEDs will make the flexible auto updating newspaper a reality, in addition to that if it ever gets to the point that the PLED can be written on there won't be a need for paperwork because people will be able to write on the "paper" and transmit it wherever it needs to go then just update the "paper" with the next form and move on it'll save many trees and be as easy as real paper to read. Back to the flexible batteries. They'll work by essentially making a battery in nano-scale. At this point (after ultra-miniaturization) they'll be technical or biological in nature but still they'll be flexible. Imagine making a battery into a paper airplane and throwing it to someone who pops it into their device or vice versa.
