Energy is def reached a point now where it is affecting everyday people at a critical level..people now are stealing gas, and relocating their families, so they have a less travel to work.. People living in the country either live there because there family lived there and it was cheaper to build, and start a family.   The cost of a house in the country is almost 80% cheaper than city houses...for example I live in a 4 bedroom house in the country 20 min from the capital.  It cost me 50 thousand with 2 acres.  november of last year.  The same house in the city would cost me about 400 thousand. plus the house tax of the city, and all the combined by-laws...that come with it. It was lower income people's only way to get a house and start a family. Now with energy cost of travel to work with fuel, home heating and min wage not being at a ballance with the cost of living....It has come to a critical point. what does a person do with a family of 4 that can not afford to go to work and their house is not worth enouph to sell to buy a house closer to work. I think the energy problem will push people to some desperate acts.  And more likely creat a total economical crash..but in any case we as a people need to do something. Either for one week a whole city not buy fuel from one oil company and then do the same each week to each oil company...or start blowing up coal burning plants so that the government will be forced to rebuild green energy hydro or wind power plants. So that the laws in canada will change for the sale and market for electric cars...right now canada is only alowing the sale of two cars the tiny little smart car. canada wide. and the zen car only being sold in british columbia...they will not allow any more because 73% of canada's energy is still produced by coal...talk about a catch 22...my wife and I both work and have very good jobs compar. to a lot of other people ....So I can't even emagine the frustration of people with one income or a low paying job...
