The word "credible" comes from the Latin credibilis< credere. That which we believe in, we find credible. The word "credit" comes from the same source. If you believed in, if you trusted the person you were dealing with, there was a basis for transactions involving credit. Banks have destroyed their credibility. People don't trust them; don't believe them. How can they restore their credibility? Or, given the destruction of wealth caused by the malfeasance of the bankers, will people turn away from money and look for something else to believe in? Something credible or incredible.
