Andrew Dennis commented on What Will Get Us First? on January 19, 2008, 2:16 AM

I think a comet or asteroid might be the only thing that could drive humans extinct.I cannot imagine a disease that would be capable of destroying mankind. One of the most deadly diseases, which occured in a time where we had no sanitation or understanding of disease, was the plague. The Plague only killed a third of the population of europe. It does not at all seem like nuclear holocaust could ever happen. Lets get real. Even if we went crazy and started nuking everyone for no reason, there is no way we could wipe out the earth. And, there is no higher authority so scratch that one.

Andrew Dennis commented on The chicken or the egg? on January 19, 2008, 2:07 AM

The chicken is born from the egg, therefore the egg came first. The organism that laid the egg was a chicken-like organism. That is evolution for you. Also the other response about viruses coming first and then bacteria is ridiculous. Also bacteria are unicellular, so don't try to separate them. Its like saying humans aren't multicellular organisms.
