The convenience factor is wonderful when you need it. But it can also be really intrusive. I hate that we never seem to get a break from business or work. I think that will hurt us in the long run especially health wise. We all need a little time to decompress and unwind.

I try to make smart purchases by thinking about how much use I will get out of the product and for how long. I'm with you, I don't see a need to rush out for a BlueRay player. Especially since no rental places around me carry BlueRay discs and I refuse to pay $50.00 to buy a movie. I'll wait to see what the next step may be. Elizabeth has a good point about laptop screens. I can barely see my screen when I'm outside.

Wow, excellent article. There's a lot to be said for cloud computing. Not being concerned with the IT details relieves a huge headache. Knowing that info is in good reliable hands can free up money to spend elsewhere on other projects.

Good points. I think a lot of companies jump into layoffs without thinking of the consequences first. In these difficult times, it's important to think things through completely before making drastic changes.
