I do think that they should give back to the society through which they obtained their wealth. If everyone is poor, can they afford to buy what the wealthy man is offering? If noone is buying, is the wealthy man still wealthy? I believe also that a form of sharing wealth is by opening businesses and providing meaningful employment and keeping the economy healthy.

There are many places where democracy is not yet there are people who treat one another with decency and respect. Human rights are violated with just as much frequency in democratic nations.
