If one is to study history, this is an inevitability but will it be in the next ten years or the next one hundred? Who will take the claim, will it be a state, what will happen to the rest of the world?

I’d say fairly soon considering the other world powers rising up to take the place of the United States. Another reason would be the rapidly growing dissent in their own country and around the world with the current balance of power.
