Short-term aid in regions or countries where there is an immediate need (i.e. famines, humanitarian disasters, etc) is extremely important, but I do not believe aid is a long-term solution to ending poverty in Africa.
I am a undergraduate student at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. I have been studying international politics and relations for the past 4 years, but I have taken many courses on American and Canadian history, development, and political philosophy and thought.
