I think you don't need vitamins only under certain conditions.
Only if you eat pure wild food, drink pure clean water, are exposed to no environmental toxins, sleep nine hours a night, have no stress and only have wild foods that you harvest yourself.
Now, I don't know how many people that describes in the modern world, probably not that many. The rest of us do need a good multivitamin, we need fish oil and we need vitamin D, because those will cover the bases for most of the nutritional deficiencies we see in up to 90 percent of the population.
